This course will include lectures, reading, discussions, observations, material making sessions and practical aspects to support children’s development. This course is a foundation for those who may be interested in taking the AMI Assistants to Infancy Diploma Course (Birth to three years old).
Course Requirements:
- 60 hours of instruction
- 9 hours of observation
- 3 papers (500 words each)
- 90% class attendance
Those who complete all course requirements will receive an AMI Assistant Training Diploma for Assistants to Infancy.

Meet the Instructor: Gabriela Velazquez Sanchez
Gabriela Velázquez Sánchez holds an AMI diploma at the Assistants to Infancy level, as well as a Degree in Early Child Education.
Her Montessori journey started when she was a child. Gabriela has more than 20 years of experience working in Montessori schools in Mexico City, Cancun, and Denver. She is also an AMI Auxilary Trainer of the Assistants to Infancy level.
Gabriela is also qualified as an AMI National Examiner at the Assistants to Infancy level and is working as a Course Assistant in the First AMI Assistants to Infancy in Taipei, Taiwan to conclude this fall.
