Receive a Full AMI 3-6 Orientation Certificate
The AMI Orientation Course gives a detailed overview of Montessori Education with concentration on the development of the 6 to 12-year old child. This online course is a solid foundation and much needed orientation for new assistants who want to better understand Montessori in order to provide a meaningful contribution to the Elementary environment.
This course also serves as a refresher for experienced assistants who can benefit from visualizing the big picture, enhance their observation skills and identify areas to better support a trained teacher. This course is also useful for parents, grandparents, school administrators and childcare professionals from other fields who would like to have a better understanding of the Montessori approach to early elementary education.
The course format offers lecture presentations, readings, discussions and various activities. In order to obtain the AMI Orientation Certificate, participants are required to maintain 90% attendance, complete 40 hours independent online learning, complete nine hours of observation and submit three short essays (500 words each).
Observation hours to be completed in a Montessori environment.
Your options for completing 9 hours of observation include:
- Observing children ages 3-6 in a Montessori Environment
- Observing children ages 3-6 in other social settings (parks, museums, zoos, or in their homes)

Tuition*: $775**
*A 10% discount will be offered to schools that register two or more teachers from their school.
**Students who complete the Orientation Certificate and then enroll in the full SIMS training in the future will receive a $700 credit towards their tuition.
Orientación de 3-6/ Casa de Niños
Estamos ofreciendo el curso de Orientación de Casa de Niños (3-6) AMI en linea. Estamos orgullosos y emocionados de ofrecer este curso en español en su totalidad. El curso de orientación es ideal para las personas interesadas en aprender más sobre cómo aplicar la filosofía Montessori en el desarrollo de los niños de 3-6 años. Este curso se recomienda a educadores, asistentes, padres de familia, abuelos, “homeschoolers” o cualquier persona que quiera aprender sobre cómo contribuir de forma constructiva en educación.
Las presentaciones, lecciones, lecturas y actividades de este curso se imparten en linea, Para poder recibir el Certificado de Orientación AMI, los alumnos deberán de haber atendido al menos el 90% del curso, completado 9 horas de observación y haber entregado tres ensayos (500 palabras cada uno).
Las opciones para las 9 horas de observación son:
- Observar a niños de 3-6 en una aula Montessori
- Observar niños de 3-6 en un entorno social (parque, museo, zoológico, hogar)

Infant and Toddler (Birth-3) Orientation

The AMI Orientation Course gives a detailed overview of Montessori Education with concentration on the development of the newborn through toddler (birth to 3 years old). This online course is a solid foundation and much needed orientation for new assistants who want to better understand Montessori in order to provide a meaningful contribution to the Primary environment.
This course also serves as a refresher for experienced assistants who can benefit from visualizing the big picture, enhance their observation skills and identify areas to better support a trained teacher. This course is also useful for parents, grandparents, school administrators and childcare professionals from other fields who would like to have a better understanding of the Montessori approach to infants and toddlers.
The course format offers lecture presentations, readings, discussions and various activities. In order to obtain the AMI Orientation Certificate, participants are required to complete attendance, nine hours of observation and submission of three short essays (500 words each).
