AMI Montessori Certification
Graduating SIMS students receive an AMI Montessori certification, which is the gold standard in Montessori teacher education, and recognized for excellence in over 110 countries.
When you send a teacher to SIMS, upon successful completion of our training course, they will have met the AMI standard, and must have demonstrated a deep understanding of educational theory, child development, observation techniques, and use and presentation of the Montessori materials. No other Montessori training comes close to providing such a systematic, rigorous course of study. It pays off: by hiring and training AMI-certified Montessori teachers, your school will be providing the best, most authentic Montessori experience available to children, and will appeal to parents looking for the rigor of the AMI standard.
School Discounts and Referral Opportunities
Would you like to send one of your teachers to SIMS? Any school that sponsors a student for training with SIMS receives $500 off the student’s tuition. (Please be sure your student submits his or her application by May 1st for the summer course, or August 13th for the academic year course).
Additionally, for every student your school refers, we will send your school $100 once the student has completed the first 90 days of the training course (please be sure your student tells us that he or she has been referred!).
Payment Plan Options & Scholarships
SIMS students have the opportunity to pay for their tuition in regular installments. If you’re sponsoring a student, you might be interested in learning more about our payment plans, available for both our three-summer and academic year programs.
Additionally, SIMS students have a plethora of scholarship opportunities available to them, listed on our financial information page. Many of these are merit-based, and some are designed to help those already working in education. If you’re sponsoring a student to further their education at SIMS, these scholarships could help defray your costs.
