“Montessori Discipline in School and At Home”
How do some Montessori teachers get children to be seeming angels in the classroom? And how does the rare parent accomplish the same at home?
Join popular and longtime educator Jesse McCarthy as he shares discipline secrets of great teachers and parents across the country. Topics discussed will range from “getting children to listen” to “what to do about lying?” — and everything else in between.
If you’re a parent or teacher who’s ever frustratingly asked yourself, “Why won’t this child just do what I ask?” then this talk is for you.
Jesse McCarthy has been in education for over 15 years. He received his B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his AMI Montessori teacher’s diploma for 3- to 6-year-olds from Montessori Institute of San Diego (MISD). Through his career he’s worked with thousands of children, teachers, and parents as an elementary & junior-high school teacher, a Head of School for infants to 8th graders, an executive with a nationwide group of Montessori schools, and a parent and teacher mentor. Jesse now heads MontessoriEducation.com and hosts the popular Montessori Education Podcast.
