Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Director of Operations to manage the day-to-day operations of our Montessori school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow in an administrative role, particularly if you are a former teacher. While prior experience in operations management and HR is a plus, we are open to training the right candidate who shares our passion for education and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including facilities management, scheduling, and administrative functions.
- Work with the Head of School to implement and maintain school policies and procedures.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to support the school's financial health.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure a positive school environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Fosters a collaborative and efficient workplace.
- Support enrollment and retention through marketing and community outreach.
- Oversee technology and systems to streamline operations and enhance communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant experience in operations management or a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
- Strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy and experience in a Montessori setting is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, parents, and the community.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance operations and communication.
