Description
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and joyful person; someone who is committed to the development of young children and providing a good learning environment.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 1pm
Pay: $15 Per Hour
Start Date: August 1st 2022
Responsibilities:
Help to maintain a safe, growth-enhancing classroom environment according to Montessori standards.
Assists students toward self-directed learning
Helps to maintain a neat, well organized and attractive prepared environment consistent with
Montessori pedagogy. This includes:
Leading, managing, and assisting with student jobs
Disinfecting and cleaning tables and chairs as needed
Disinfecting door handles, tables and chairs, and bathrooms at the end of each day
Knocking down spiderwebs as needed
Dusting all shelves and works once a week
Covering any outside materials at the end of each day
Watches over children who are working/playing outside
Helps teacher in presenting lessons as instructed by the teacher
Assists teacher in preparing for school activities
Attends staff meetings, open houses, school events as needed
Actively engages in professional development activities
Completes accident (incident) reports when needed
Complies with all state standards and requirements
Maintains classroom pets with help from students (food, water, cleaning, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
● Basic understanding of Montessori philosophies
● Current Arizona fingerprint clearance card.
