We are so very happy to announce that our two dedicated Primary Trainers in Training have been granted the status of Auxiliary Trainer by AMI. Congratulations to Tiffany Liddell and Meg Trezise!
The Training of Trainers program requires a commitment of 3 years. Tiffany and Meg have spent the last two years working with our Primary Trainer, Ann Velasco, at SIMS as they progressed through the Training of Trainers program. During that time, they supported our students in their practice with the materials, they helped to organize observation and practice teaching placements with schools in the community, they delivered some lectures and presented some materials during the course last year. They have helped with general course administration and taken responsibility for a host of miscellaneous responsibilities. During this period, they have also dedicated countless hours to writing theory papers that become the basis for their future theory lectures.
During the third year of the Training of Trainers program, AMI requires that they work under the guidance of a different trainer. So, during the 2018-19 academic year, Tiffany and Meg will be working under the leadership of Shannon Helfrich. We are so pleased that Shannon, a senior AMI Trainer, has agreed to lead a day-time course here in Phoenix this year. Tiffany and Meg will each be playing a significant role in delivery of that course as Auxiliary Trainers.
Congratulations again Tiffany and Meg! Your commitment and dedication to the training process is an inspiration.
