AMI Montessori Primary teacher training in New Mexico!

- Classes will be conducted at Montessori One Academy in Albuquerque.
Cost of Training
Please review course costs for students thoroughly before submitting your application:
- Total Tuition for Academic Year 2018–19: $10,500
- Optional Philosophy of Indigenous Education Course: $3,000
- Application Fee: $150 (must be submitted with your Application)
- Tuition Deposit: $1000 tuition deposit is due upon enrollment.

Convenient Daytime Block Schedule
Classes will run during the day Monday through Friday, 9am to 4:30pm. During breaks between blocks of courses, students will have the time to complete observation and practice teaching requirements in New Mexico or elsewhere.
Optional Philosophy of Indigenous Education Course
Work with the Keres Children’s Learning Center (KCLC) to transform education. With a goal of making Montessori education accessible to children in New Mexico, particularly children from the Pueblos, this program will focus on Montessori education through the lens of an Indigenous worldview. Proposed Montessori Training Schedule
Classes will be offered in a block schedule and run Monday – Friday, 9am-4:30pm:
October 1 – November 2, 2018 – Montessori Block 1 (Practical Life + Theory)
November 12-16, 2018 – Students will complete 1 week of full-day observation in classrooms
November 26 – December 15, 2018 – Montessori Block 2 (Sensorial + Theory)
January 7-25, 2019 – Students will complete 1 week of full-day observation and 2 weeks of half day observation
January 28 – February 22, 2019 – Montessori Block 3 (Language)
March 4-15, 2019 – Students will complete 2 weeks of practice teaching (full day)
March 18 – April 12, 2019 – Montessori Block 4 (Mathematics)
Between April 15 – May 10, 2019 – Students will complete 2 weeks of practice teaching (full day)
May 13 – June 6, 2019 – Montessori Block 5 (Reviews, Exams, Graduation)
Meet the trainer
Mary Raudonis Loew has been working in the field of Montessori education since 1963 when she received AMI primary training in Washington, DC. She has 30 years of classroom experience and has established primary training courses in 3 different cities. Mary has assisted in the start up of numerous schools and has 11 years experience as a school director. She has offered workshops in all areas of Montessori pedagogy, and serves as a consultant, examiner, and 3-6 trainer of the AMI. She has a special interest in the development of programs for adolescents. She has a BA degree with a focus in education, psychology and creative writing.

According to the Montessori Network of New Mexico, there are over 36 Montessori schools in the state, including 3 recognized by AMI.
